A practical starting point for original characters

This site helps writers, artists, OC creators, and tabletop players move from a blank page to a character they can continue developing.

Local generation comes first

The core generator combines original general-purpose word banks with seeded selection and compatibility rules. It creates identity first, then uses that context to choose appearance, personality, abilities, motivation, relationships, backstory, and story hooks. Basic generation runs locally, requires no account, and does not consume an AI request.

The goal is not to replace creative judgment. A generated profile is raw material: keep what creates useful pressure, reroll what feels generic, and revise the result until it belongs to your project.

AI is an optional enhancement

AI is only called when you actively request a richer character or generate a dedicated backstory. The server validates requests, applies anonymous usage limits, checks the response structure, and keeps the original local result available if the provider fails. AI output should always be reviewed before publication.

Originality and independence

The word banks and fixed editorial content are written for this project. The tool is not affiliated with any tabletop publisher and is not an official rules engine for a particular game. It avoids official character sheets, protected character examples, and copied rules text.

How to use the site

Start with the random character generator, build a focused history with the backstory generator, or choose personality language from the character traits list. Questions and corrections are welcome through the contact page.
